When starting or running a business, mounds of debt will invariably start to pile up. This can be from a business loan taken out, credit card bills, or some other form of financing needed to run your business. And if you’re anything like me, having debt hang over your head like a razor sharp scythe is not the most comfortable situation to be in. While large amounts of debt can seem daunting at first, there are some simple, even basic, steps you can take to not only reduce your debt, but also reduce your debt related stress.

In business, and in our personal lives, common courtesy towards others should be a no-brainer. Do unto others as you would have them do unto you, right? Right.
We live in the modern world, a much smaller world than before, where we’re all connected by cell phones and high speed Internet access among other devices. Because of this, communication with each other should be almost instantaneous, regardless of location or distance. In the business world, this means that businesses and clients and vendors all have the ability to communicate rapidly with one another.
If your business is a registered LLC in California or registered to do business in California, then you know full well how annoying those nasty LLC fees are. Not only do you have the annual tax of $800, but you also are forced to pay another LLC annual fee, which is based on the total gross income and cost of goods sold from your business. This fee is calculated based on income earned both inside and outside of California.
Websites take time to develop.
Especially custom websites that integrate clean design with intuitive web functionality. So, not something like this. And as much as clients would love, and actually expect in some cases, for us to push the magic ‘make website NOW’ button, it’s quite obviously unrealistic. Obvious to people who have even a bare minimum understanding as to how the Internet works. Sadly, however, many clients mistakenly think that developing a website takes about as much time and skill as replacing a shower head. (more…)
