We here at Frye / Wiles work in a war zone.
Or at least it seems that way sometimes.
Where we are, Riverside CA, and practically all of the Inland Empire, is all but completely engulfed in dirt, dust, rock pebbles, and other remnants of roadside construction. And it never ends. On every major freeway around here, there are freeway road expansions, on-ramp rebuilding, road re-paving, dirt digging and a multitude of other ‘improvements’ being worked on.
It’s been this way for years now. Years of traffic jams, car dents and paint scratches…all stemming from scattered heavy machinery debris caused by vast, unending construction.
This is not fun.
I understand that on some level with the rise in population in the area, that this is a necessary evil. But everyone around here knows that this should have been taken care of 10 years ago before traffic became unbearable.
In hindsight, maybe I should have started a trucking business whereby I haul large chucks of various road parts around and make oodles of cash. Everyone else around here does it. Website development is nice and all, but hauling concrete and road pavement, that’s where the real money is.
Speaking of which, just whom should I send my impending car detail bill to?

One comment so far.
It’s kind of like Mad Max, but way more post-apocalyptic. And less Mel Gibson. But about the same amount of Tina Turner.
